Yoga Therapist

I commenced my yoga when living in a remote Hindu Buddhist village in Bali in 1976, and have been doing yoga ever since. I trained as a yoga therapist through Yoga for Health in GB in 1994, as at that time there were no teachers in Australia. I have been teaching and adapting classes to suit the needs of each individual ever since. I have a strong belief in Krishnamacharya’s words “If you can breathe you can do yoga.”

I have taught people with every condition from profoudly  deaf to people with immune disorders to gifted athletes both able and disabled bodied.

I run accredited courses for teachers in Yoga for breast cancer and Yoga for secondary lymphoedema; both of which I have produced and made DVDs for. I have trained yoga therapists in most states for different organisations, but now love teaching in my home town of Penguin in Tasmania.

My Masters of Medical Sciences degree was in the Effect of Yoga on Women with secondary arm lymphoedema from breast cancer treatment.

My focus now is on yoga for the immune system for which I also conduct face-to-face and online training.
