Yoga teaching and my yoga therapy training has shown me how effective yoga therapy can be to build and maintain wellbeing on all levels.

Yoga Therapist
I have practised yoga for over thirty years and qualified as a yoga teacher (500+ hours training) eight years ago. I completed yoga therapy training (1000+ hours) in 2021.
All my yoga training has been in the honoured T Krishnamacarya tradition through Barbara Brian’s Agama studio in Melbourne. There we were instructed and mentored by a wide range of health practitioners from surgeons and ayurvedic doctors to physiotherapists, trauma counsellors and vedic chant teachers (and more).
T Krishnamacarya reformed the yoga tradition to a discipline that was more practical and accessible to all, adding therapeutic value to postures to cater to individual needs.
These teachings align well with my zest for learning and teaching in a way that is relevant and useful. I try to learn from my students and care seekers every session. I have worked in tertiary education and project management in the areas of law, social justice and environment and continue to do research and writing in my areas of interest.
