Specialising in tailoring yoga to suit each individual, in particular survivors of complex trauma and people of colour.
Region: Australia - ACT
I draw from yoga, natural movement, somatics, yoga therapy, poetry and the natural world in my work as a mind-body educator.
I am committed to trauma awareness, diversity and social justice in life and in yoga. I especially welcome people who have felt like they don’t belong in most wellness or yoga settings.
I collaborate with medical professionals to give a coordinated approach to clients and have long advocated for introducing yoga therapy into medical contexts and am experienced at integrating yoga practices into rehabilitation plans for patients recovering from injuries, or to manage persistent pain.
I pioneered the introduction of trauma sensitive yoga classes in Beijing and continued this work in Washington DC where I held group and private classes for survivors of complex trauma. I have newly relocated to Canberra.
